Welcome to Paybyrd! We're thrilled to help you get started with your new POS terminal. This guide will walk you through unboxing, setting up, and connecting your terminal to the internet.
Step 1: Unboxing Your Terminal
Unbox your terminal and check for these accessories:
The terminal itself
Power cable and adapter
Quick Start Guide
Check the battery: If your terminal has a battery, charge it by plugging the device into a power outlet using the provided adapter.
Step 2: Initial Setup
Power on your terminal by pressing the power button. Once it boots up, you're ready to begin.
Default connection: Your terminal comes pre-configured to connect to a 4G network. If you prefer Wi-Fi for better stability or speed, follow the steps below to switch to a Wi-Fi network.
Step 3: Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network
Navigate to Settings on your terminal's home screen.
Select Advanced Options.
Enter the operational password for the Paybyrd App. Note: This password is typically provided during setup. If you can't find it, contact our support team for help.
Go to System Settings.
Enter the operational password for the terminal.
Select Network & Internet within System Settings.
Toggle on the Wi-Fi option and choose your preferred Wi-Fi network from the list.
Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted. Your terminal will then connect to the internet.
Step 4: Completing Setup
Once connected to the network, your terminal is ready for use. You can now log in with your Paybyrd credentials and start processing payments.
